Sign up to volunteer at this year's powwow
At the orientation we connect with each other, share some cultural teachings about the powwow, get an orientation on volunteer roles, and can plan schedules or volunteer involvement. Volunteer sign up can also be done at this event.

We’re calling on our relatives, neighbours, and friends to support the 30th Annual Sampson Inter-Tribal Powwow: Honoring Wətanmy. This sacred gathering brings together Nations from across Turtle Island to share songs, stories, and healing. Your time and care will help uphold the spirit and safety of the event.
"I have seen this reconciliation happening in the past few years with all of the non-First Nation volunteers who willingly take their time to assist us all weekend with our powwow. It makes me and my family feel so good. If anyone out there would like to volunteer for next year’s event we are more than happy to have you aboard. It is work, but it is so rewarding. I have received so many compliments about the good work that these volunteers have done throughout the weekend. We could not have our powwow without their support."
Angel Sampson, in an interview with Seaside Magazine
This is a sacred space. Please follow the lead of local community members and Elders.
Do not touch regalia, drums, or sacred items unless explicitly invited.
Photos are not permitted during ceremonial moments (e.g. Grand Entry, honour songs, prayers). Ask before taking any photos.
Powwow is not a performance—it's a spiritual gathering. Please treat it with care.
Do not wear regalia, feathers, or imitation Indigenous attire unless it is your own from your Nation.
Be gentle in spaces of grief and remembrance.
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking on-site.
Whether you can help for one day or the whole weekend, your energy matters.
